It was my 1st 24hr race and didn't really know what to expect as I'd heard from lots of people it was a boring meeting. Well, you know what; those who don't do this meeting are the one's missing out on a whole load of fun.

The race was absolutely fab, I couldn't believe that the cars kept so close together for the entire duration, let alone kept going! One team did 9 or 10 engine changes I believe! I was in the hospitality room during one of my off shifts and there was a car having an engine change in the garage. It came out and got about 10ft and broke down again, was pushed back into the garage and another engine change was underway!

Thanks to Paul who I was on post with for the duration who kept me amused. I think I only fell asleep once during the fog! We only encountered one problem during the race whilst on post at the Esses, which resulted in us moving the post about 10 meters to the right!

The commentary was also quite amusing during the small hours. 'Let's talk teabags' I recall Alan Hyde coming up with at one point and also discussing the tomatoes on offer at Tyrrell's.

And the after party, well what can I say. It was good to meet so many brilliant people. The entertainment was hilarious, thanks to Kevin and John.  Then Tyrrell 's shut so we headed over to the pit garages. Never imagined I would be playing swing ball at 2am in the morning but hey ho! Thanks to Team Gadget Racing, Team Fluffy Dice and the Flying Dutchman Team for making us all so welcome and supplying us with booze and I had such a laugh with the company I was with, you know who you are.

And Terry, you can put me at the top of the list for next year, as i'll definitely be back!
