Race report by Steve Sykes: Race two, held late in the afternoon, was the Simon Clarke show as he drove to victory from 20th on the grid, evoking memories of Richard Dalton’s similar feat at Oulton Park in 1998. Nick Paton was on pole for this one ahead of Mark Turner in the Myatt car (with new engine) and both Ainslie Bousfield and Simon Turner (in Sammie Fritchley’s car) were starting from the midfield. Peter Dalkin had done a superb job to qualify third and Jessica Owen was going better this time round after the Tete Rouge crew discovered that the throttle had not been opening properly on her car in the first race. The finish was dramatic with Clarke taking victory from Nick Paton by all of 0.167 seconds with Simon Turner hot on their heels, followed by the second Turner (Mark) and James Sutcliffe in fifth, up from fourteenth on the grid.

The race took place on Sunday afternoon at 16:50. After some sterling work by the Tete Rouge team, Jessica's 'new car' was presented for the race in fine condition.
